FAQ

If you arrive at the studio at the time of the scheduled start of the class, you will not be able to get in and your code will not work. This is to ensure that everyone in the class can concentrate and get the most out of their class without disruptions. Please do not try to get the instructors attention to manually open the door.

Unfortunately, no. We have a 12-hour cancellation policy for group classes and a 24-hour cancellation policy for one-to-one classes. If you can’t make your class, please cancel on the app or let us know at least 12 hours ahead (for group classes) or 24-hours ahead (for one-to-one classes) or you will lose that session.

We understand that life can sometimes get in the way, but we need to be fair to all clients and instructors.

As there is not an infinite number of reformers in a class, our classes can get fully booked. We recommend adding yourself to the waitlist for that class by booking yourself into the class as you would normally. Once you add yourself to a waitlist, you’ll receive an email confirmation of your request. When a place becomes available in the class you will be notified via text or email and given 2 hours to confirm your space using the link that is sent. If you do not respond within the two-hour window, you will be removed from the waitlist and the place will be offered to the next person down. If you confirm your place, you’ll receive another notification confirming your place.

Everyone of all ages and abilities are welcome in our reformer Pilates classes. With small group classes, our Pilates teachers can modify exercises to accommodate everyone’s ability, allowing you to work at your own pace. We recommend joining our foundation classes if you need a bit more help.

Clothing which is easy to move in is a great start. If these are slightly looser please be mindful when you are on the reformer that they do not get stuck in the carriage. We recommend leggings or shorts and either a t-shirt or workout top. Socks are a must for hygiene reasons and these can be grippy or normal sports socks.

Please arrive 10 minutes early to your class. The doors will allow you access from 9 minutes before the class. When you arrive and have used your code to get in, your instructor will great you and help you to familiarise yourself with the studio. Please put your things in the cubby holes provided and take a seat on your chosen reformer. Please note, for everyone’s enjoyment, the studio’s are a phone free zone.

It is often a good idea to start with a foundation reformer class, even if you have done Pilates elsewhere or are quite fit. Reformer Revolution Pilates uses a lot of small muscle groups and you’ll be surprised how challenging the class might be. You can jump straight into the dynamic reformer Pilates classes but if you struggle or find you need to keep to a lot of beginner modifications you may get more enjoyment from the foundation reformer Pilates classes.

Absolutely! For your own safety, you must tell the teacher if you have any injury or health issue so they can modify your workout. This ensures we don’t aggravate it and you are able to exercise safely. If you have any changes to your medical status please also inform the instructors.

Most of our new clients do just fine attending a foundation reformer Pilates class as the Pilates teacher can modify exercises to suit differing abilities. Although still a workout, classes are broken down using simple exercises so everyone can get the most out of their workout. If you have chronic back pain, are coming back from an injury or are pregnant, a one-to-one session could be best to assess your ability. If you are not sure the best thing you can do is contact us on info@reformerrevolution.co.uk and we can arrange a call to discuss your options. We do however reserve the right to restrict clients to a particular class type for safety reasons if necessary.

This is really down to you. If you have been doing Pilates classes for a while, have no pain or injuries which may restrict your ability to move in the class then you can always give it a go and stick to the easier variations.

Even if you are a regular to dynamic reformer Pilates classes we recommend you still come to some of the foundation classes to make sure you stay on top of your technique!
