Meet Claire

Claire is a Camden Town native who completed a Fine Art degree at Chelsea and a Master’s at the Royal College of Art. With lifelong interests in both art and physical fitness, she first discovered Pilates through gymnastics and later turned to it as part of her rehabilitation from a back injury.

Having worked in the health and fitness industry in central London for many years, Claire is passionate about the power of group exercise—especially the transformative impact of Pilates. She is certified in the internationally respected STOTT Reformer Pilates method, a highly technical training that honours the classical principles of Joseph Pilates while integrating contemporary exercise science, physiotherapy, and rehabilitation research.

Claire is currently undertaking fully comprehensive classical Pilates training on the apparatus through the lineage of Romana Kryzanowska and Joseph Pilates, under the guidance of James Shaw—renowned for his extensive knowledge, scholarship, and leadership within the UK’s Pilates teacher training community.

Informed by a deep understanding of anatomy, Claire’s classes emphasise alignment, core stability, posture, and the development of muscular strength, endurance, mobility, and flexibility. She brings a technician’s eye for detail, offering safe, precise, and effective programming that flows seamlessly and supports functional movement. Her extensive experience in both classical and contemporary Pilates enables her to deliver informed, dynamic classes—always with a touch of humour and warmth. Clients leave feeling aligned, strong, and uplifted.

Alongside her Pilates qualifications, Claire holds a 200-hour Hatha Yoga certification earned in Mysore, India, as well as additional training in Yin Yoga with Norman Blair and Prana Vinyasa with Alessandra Pecorella. She is also a Level 3 Personal Trainer (REPs) through Drummond Education and is more recently qualified as a Lagree instructor.

Outside the studio, Claire can be found creating art, exploring galleries, and being lovingly bossed around by her Cocker Spaniel, Bailey.
